Had a minor heart attack today. I had a nap in the afternoon, as is my wont, and woke to be told by the housemate that it looked like the C: drive on the net-capable puter had karked it.
AARGH!!
It hadn't. Not sure what had gone wrong, but it seems to be ok now... I'm backing some things up, though, just to be on the safe side...

I don't like dogs.

What Breed of Dog Are You?

Lutra, you're a German Shepherd!

No bones, about it, you're a loyal, hard-working German Shepherd. Dedicated and always low-maintenance, people flock to you — they know they can count on you to get any job done, and done well. That focus and attention to detail spans from your personal to your professional life, too. Although you can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the projects you tackle, you still manage to keep cool and laid-back in social situations. You get a kick out of the little things and thrive when you're constantly busy and on-the-go. Easygoing and unpretentious, you don't need constant pampering and reassurance. A genuine, carefree pup, you're a true-blue friend, employee, and partner. Woof!

This is so true. I vant to be hahlone (sometimes : ) !

What Renews You?

Lutra, you're renewed by focusing on yourself

For you, there is no better sanctuary from life's demands than some space for yourself alone. That's not to say you're antisocial. It's just that you like to take time to know yourself, to reflect on all your experiences rather than sweeping them under the rug to deal with another day. For you, long walks, a cozy afternoon on the sofa, or a luxurious soak in the tub might give you all the solitude you need to really look inward, so you can better look outward toward work, family, and friends. More than others, you need to take those moments to slow down, think, and dream.
And why does that matter? Because when you’re really refreshed and relaxed it will show – in everything from your enthusiastic approach to life, to the healthy glow of your skin! So next time life makes you feel squeezed and pulled in too many directions, make a date with yourself to take a relaxing tour of your own inner world.
