[*intrigued*.. is that 'limp' as in walking awkwardly, or 'limp' as in 'tired'?
*bright eyes* Not long 'til 'lestrel's home... time to start making the bower nice and put in pre-order with the Canteen...]

Oooh! Love the R cake decoration, Joules! Goodtwin's friend did a great job! *covetcovet* Tch, feel like a sugar fix now...

Went to see 'Singin' in the Rain' and 'An American in Paris' last night with Niki, Soulsis and Aaron.
SITR was brilliant, really good seeing it on the big screen, caught loads of nuances and subtle facial expressions that aren't as clear on a tv screen. AAIP was less than brilliant, unfortunately; I get the impression Mr Kelly was indulged somewhat in that production. It all gets a bit surreal and ultimately pointless towards the end and it has the quickest and most unsatisfying resolution in any movie I've seen. Still, Leslie Caron was pretty enough, I suppose, for a chipmunk (no, seriously, little round cheeks and buck-teeth are just precious on rodents, not necessarily on humans) and Gene Kelly had a lovely bum. There was one line, though, that had the audience laughing out loud. The hero - on the rebound - asks the secondary female lead (who has a thing for him) out to a party. She goes all breathless and stupid with delight and says: "I feel like a woman for a change!" Tee hee hee. Don't we all, darlin', don't we all...

Okapi sent me this website. ROFLMAO!! I have dozens of those soy sauce fish lurking about in cupboards and jars...

And Soulsis sent me this.
The pics in the gallery were off-putting enough - couldn't bring myself to read any of the fics.

Picked up a program for the 13th Annual Melbourne Queer Film Festival last night. Most likely won't be able to go see anything but it was very interesting reading what was on. Mostly American docos and movies it seemed, but a fair slathering of Asian (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese) Euro (English, Irish, Finnish, Danish) and some Australian pieces. The anime Revolutionary Girl Utenna is screening a couple of times - seen some artwork from that and it looks gorgeous. Like to watch that some time, and there's a Bollywood picture, Mango Souffle which looks like a lot of fun - got a soft spot for Bollywood movies... Ah well, if I can bestir myself to organise baby-sitters - and I can afford it - I might get to go and see something this year...
